Proudly Serving: Alamo, Blackhawk, Diablo, Danville, San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton
The Town of Danville is home to more than 41,000 people as of 2008. It offers a diverse selection of housing choices for its residents. Whether you are interested in renting or buying, need an apartment or a home, you are certain to find the perfect Danville address.
Danville is located in the San Ramon Valley in Contra Costa County, California. It is one of the incorporated municipalities in California that uses "town" in its name instead of "city". Danville is an upscale suburb of Oakland and San Francisco and is considered one of the wealthiest suburbs in the San Francisco Bay Area, with some of the most expensive and exclusive country clubs and houses in the country.
What I love about Danville is that it preserves the characteristics of a town, being compact, largely self-sufficient as far as shopping goes, and having only a couple of commercial centers. Its downtown is noted for its somewhat rustic charm, intensively upgraded owing to its now extremely affluent demographics and its popularity as a regional destination for dining and light shopping. Downtown Danville consists of many small shops on several traditional-styled plazas. It does not have its own hospital, but is well-served by nearby regional medical centers including John Muir Hospital, San Ramon Regional Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente.
One of Danville's most desirable attributes is its sense of community. The town hosts a wonderful array of events throughout the year from Farmer's Markets to street fairs to holiday celebrations. Highly rated schools, executive homes, and unending recreational activities including hiking, biking, swimming, and more add to the town's unparalleled appeal.
San Ramon (from Spanish: San Ramón meaning: St. Raymond) is a city in Contra Costa County, California. It is a part of the San Francisco Bay Area and has a population of 44,722 at the 2000 census. San Ramon is a suburb of San Francisco and Silicon Valley. It is home to the headquarters of Chevron Corporation, 24-Hour Fitness, a satellite campus of Diablo Valley College, San Ramon Valley Regional Medical Center, and two public high schools: California High School and Dougherty Valley High School.
